The more things stay the same, the more they stay the same. Apparently cheating on your family is either so devastating that you should be publicly pilloried and then exiled to a remote island, or it is akin to forgetting to put the toilet seat down, and those who make a big deal out of it deny their own skeletons.
Obviously, every politician cheats. Equally from all sides. So what's all the fuss about? Nothing to see here.
Obviously, not every politician cheats. Most of them are honest, hardworking folk who want to serve the public and make things better. Equally from all sides.
Maybe people at the top of their careers, like Senators, ex-Senators, Presidents, CEOs, Hollywood stars, and name-brand athletes are more prone to cheating. After all, they work hard, and they like to play hard, too.
Or maybe people without a high degree of success cheat to drown out their sorrows, the nagging, the whining, the bills.
Maybe cheating bears no correlation to any other aspect in life at all. We're animals. We have needs. We fulfill them. That's it, right? Everyone does it. Why expect more from politicians?
BECAUSE OUR FUCKING LIVES DEPEND ON IT, that's why. More below...
